This situation was re-imagined into the government giving immigrants citizenship after making them serve their new country. Many serve in ways that seem normal. But there always seems to be a dark side to our government. In “Pathway To Citizenship,” the non-English speaking immigrants are sent to government labs to serve their 1 year as human guinea pigs. While not based on actual events, this movie is meant to bring awareness to the terrible conditions many live in at these camps and the mistreatments governments perpetuate against our fellow human beings. If all lives matter, why do we treat others as we would never want to be treated, regardless of gender, race, or immigration status? ICE has lost 1,500+ in their care and has had countless accusations of sexual mistreatment in these camps. While the thermometer is busy doing its job, the doctor continues his examination. He runs a Wartenberg wheel up and down her body and appendages, ensuring that he can see a physical reaction from his specimen, indicating she doesn’t have any nerve damage. It’s not like he can ask 221 if she feels the tingling sensation all over her body.

Realizing the thermometer has still not beeped, Doctor Tampa checks it, noticing that the battery has died. “Don’t worry, we have other ways to take your temperature,” he tells his specimen, patting her on the stomach, her eyes getting wide. Donning a fresh pair of gloves, the doctor informs 221 and those watching that he is going to begin her pelvic examination.

221 starts objecting to the doctor looking at her vagina. The doctor asks her, “Why, is it because you’re a virgin?” 

“Si,” she replies. “Oh, you are a virgin?” the doctor reiterates. “Well then, I’m going to have to check for myself,” he continues, using his hands to spread his specimen’s legs apart. 

She cries as the doctor slides her down to the end of the table, pushing her legs open once more, bringing the exam lamp in between them. When she fails to do as told keeping her legs open, the doctor slaps her inner thigh, pushing her legs open and telling her to keep them open once more.

Doctor Tampa turns on the exam lamp, illuminating her unshaven vagina. With the magnifying lamp trained directly onto her pelvic area, the doctor snaps on the second pair of gloves as he begins to examine this self-described virgin. Tensing up and closing her legs from his touch, the doctor moves his hands from her vagina to her knees, pushing her legs open once more. “Keep them open and stop fighting me,” he says sternly, scaring 221 into keeping her legs spread...for now.

After finishing the external examination of her genitalia, the doctor slides one finger inside of her and uses his other hand to palpate her ovaries. 221’s breathing becomes heavy while she tries to keep her composure as this stranger uses both of his hands to examine her most intimate parts. Parts that she has never let a man examine before.

Continuing a manual examination of 221’s vagina, Doctor Tampa states that it seems his patient is beginning to get a little excited as he begins to notice her vaginal secretions. The doctor starts to finger her in a non-clinical manner,  telling his specimen that while she may be saying otherwise, her body is betraying her and saying yes. 

He also begins playing with her clitoris as he continues to finger her. Once her vaginal secretions sufficiently lubricate his hands, the doctor presents them to his patient and tells her that her body is telling him things are “Bueno.”

Donnie a fresh pair of gloves, Doctor Tampa retrieves the speculum off the instrument tray. He explains to his specimen that he will be taking a look to see how substantial her secretions are. She can’t understand him, and all she can see is this mad man twirling this strange metal object around, opening and closing it, merely punishmenting the vulnerable girl with this medical instrument in his hand.

Already assuming she knows where it will end up, Specimen 221 watches as it inches near her. She lets out many groans and moans as the doctor begins to ease the speculum into her vagina. He does it slowly, wiggling it around until it’s all the way inside of her.

Momentarily quieting down once it’s inside of her, she continues moaning as the doctor cranks open the instrument now lodged deep inside her. With the speculum fully open, the doctor takes samples of her vaginal walls in addition to performing a pap smear and cervical brushing. 

221 can only look on in horror as Doctor Tampa retrieves another longer, very slender instrument off of the tray, passing it through the opening of the speculum. He grasps the handle as she jumps. “See, that didn’t hurt that bad,” the doctor says to his specimen.  

Now that the doctor has her laid back in the stirrups, it has become hard to see the number on her chest. So he grabs another permanent marker, writing 221 on her inner thigh for much easier identification. As he withdraws the speculum from inside of her, he opens the bill of the speculum, showing 221 the secretions collected by the speculum. “Someone must be excited by their predicament,” the doctor crudely comments. 

Having concluded her examination for the day, the doctor stands in between her legs, staring down at her vagina, knowing there is much more in store tomorrow. He removes 221 from the table, securing her restraints before leading her out of the research laboratory for the day.

The day won’t end just yet for 221, as the doctor still has to take her down to the shower facility and make sure she’s cleaned up inside and out before she can rest for the evening. 

Specimen 221 is led into the shower stall, where the doctor restrains her arms above her head. Turning on the shower, he leaves the room as 221 attempts to keep herself out of the water. But it’s warm and inviting, and slowly she moves near the warm water as she waits for the doctor’s arrival. 

Waiting for what seems like an eternity, she ends up nodding off. 221 is very physically and mentally drained from all of today’s events. The next thing she remembers is waking up strapped down to a bed where she spends a very unrestful night of rest, attempting to forget her new existence.

After a restless night of rest or lack thereof, specimen 221 is brought back into the research laboratory. Today she will begin her” Pathway to Citizenship” as she assumes her role as the government’s guinea pig. 

Doctor Tampa leads her nude and restrained body into the research laboratory from the day before, but this time, the large curtain that was in the middle of the room is pulled back. She wasn’t sure what terrible thing it might be concealing, but today she is finding out. Her eyes get wide as she sees a massive surgical table with an intimidating set of stirrups and straps ominously hanging off of it everywhere.

Setting 221 onto this new table, the doctor begins strapping her legs into the stirrups. She won’t have a choice today if she is going to keep her legs spread for the doctor. With 221 now secured, the doctor begins to drape her to help keep her warm during the experimental procedure that’s about to take place.

Noticing that the number on her leg has worn off throughout the night, Doctor Tampa re-brands her leg with a fresh 221.
