President Alberto Fujimori used government policy to sterilize the “undesirables”, poor and indigenous women, so that they would not be able to reproduce in the ’90s. Their sterilization was often done without their knowledge of what would occur. Fujimori was initially convicted and went to prison before being pardoned. His pardon was overturned in October 2018, and ordered to return to prison in January 2019.

Doctor Tampa performs a not-so-routine exam while discussing Sheila’s socioeconomic status with the nurse. Per the Peruvian government's request, he suggests Sheila will be a perfect subject for sterilization.

Sheila Daniels wakes up alone in some type of cell, completely naked except for her underwear. She struggles in the cell for a few minutes before two people walk in, covered from head to toe. Frightened, Sheila pleads with them. She can’t understand what they are saying because they are only in speaking English!

Sheila gets pulled out of her cell and put onto the gurney where these masked strangers strap her down and examine her before making her get onto a surgical table where she is restrained. Sheila watches as these masked strangers prepare surgical instruments and a speculum!
